I took my $48,000 2014 Ford f150 FX4 4x4 super cab truck to ford of port richey on 8-1-16 for warranty repairs. These are the repairs I stated that needed to be repaired. (1) front end shakes when brakes are applied, (2) left front drivers door does not lock and unlock most of the time and the right front door lock latch does not work at all. (3) right front sony oem door speaker rattles and pops, (4) center console will not stay open due to a broken spring, (5) water in the right front fog light, (6) dash rattle to the right of the radio lcd screen, (6) update the transmission shift program since it shift hard (7) the ac evaporator interior fan ramps up and down at random and does not cool the truck properly, (8) check out why the service stability light came on.
My truck had 34,646 on the odometer so I had plenty of time for warranty work since the warranty runs out at 36,000 miles. I had several valid concerns clearly written out on a sheet of paper and handed it to the service manager, David Quinn. I went over every concern and I was treated like a five year old child from mars. The manager stated they will inspect and will call me with what needs to be done. I dropped the truck off Monday morning at 8:30am sharp. Tuesday and Wednesday went by with no communication from ford of port richey. I called them Thursday morning and spoke to the service manager and he stated they can’t find anything wrong with my truck but the center console door will be replaced due to the broken support spring plus the right front door lock latch. I never received one phone call with any updates.
I had to pay for all the parts and labor at other shops after my warranty expired to make the necessary repairs to my 2014 FX4 4x4 truck after leaving the service department over the next 2 months. Thanks ford of port richey for letting me pay for everything on my list except the console lid and right door lock latch. I had the rotors and pads replaced first which cost me $544.22 then I replaced the left front door lock latch for $289.10 then I had the ac control module replaced for $822.23 then I had the right front sony door speaker replaced for $187.82 then I paid $75 to have the dash rattle fixed, then I had the right front fog light replaced for $122.76
Thanks for letting your mechanic take my truck home overnight without my knowledge. I have a front and facing camera system in my truck that records video 24 hours a day and it records any impact and stores the videos on a memory card. I have proof on the erratic driving of my truck.
Thanks for honoring my warranty repairs. I was told by an ex empoyee mechanic of ford of port richey (he will testify under oath) that no mechanic wants to do warranty work since the pay scale drops way down. I was told the mechanics make a lot less for warranty work and they are not interested in any warranty work. apparently ford has a set pay scale and the dealer splits the labor cost in half with the mechanic. From my point of view we call that work. We are what we do in this world so why jerk the customer around by not honoring warranty repairs.Its always about the money in todays world. I spent $2041.13 to fix all my concerns. It would have cost me nothing if the ford of port richey did their job.
Oh, I plan on buying a new 2017 F150 fully loaded truck this summer and will never consider ford of port richey for sales or service.
