What some idiot in Texas and more than a few in Michigan have failed to acknowledge is that you CAN'T fit the 05 F350 with propper plowing tires. Mine came with a "plow prep package" I guess I am foolish for assuming that I could put appropriate snow/plowing tires on it. This truck has an apparently unusual 18 inch rim for which NO SNOW TIRE IS MADE BY ANY MANUFACTURER.

Further, This truck can not simply be fit with another rim because of the extra large disc brakes. Look it up retards. There is no other option, and Ford will offer no help. This is a truck that was represented to me as a commercial plowing vehicle. The Contitracs that are on it are excellent fair weather tires. Continental describes these tires as "light truck/SUV" appropriate. They in fact, DO SUCK FOR PLOWING and there is absolutely nothing better that can be fit to this truck. Of course I could buy and install smaller break system to buy and fit 17 inch rims. Or I could jack the truck up to fit idiot monster truck wheels on it. But I just want snow tires. Silly me, I thought I bought a plow truck. I am not a crybaby, this is my only problem with this truck. I will never buy a Ford again. This was a known problem last winter.

Call some of the places that make rims, most of them have adds in farm mag. They should be able to make you a D.O.T. rim to fit your truck and the type of tire you need. You can also go to a recap shop and they can put the tread you need on the tires. You are right if the truck was sold to you as a plowing truck it should have tires that will do the job.
