Complaint Review: FORECLOSURE.COM

FORECLOSURE.COM Not a "FREE 7 day Trial" Internet

I signed up for the "FREE" 7 day trial. After seeing some of the listings and sending them to my realtor I was informed that most were already off the market. I was not happy with the web site so I canceled the next day. Foreclosure.com billed my credit card $39.80 that same day i canceled (only 1 day after the so called "FREE" trial). I have not received any e-mails from Foreclosure.com to date. I e-mailed them and am hoping to get my money back.

I am glad that customer service was able
to assist you, and I appreciate the feedback about our system.  Some features such
as the aerial pictures do not come with the free trial because they are features that we must pay a cost for when they are utilized. However, when you click on one of
these photos a box will come up stating, "Want to see more pictures? Great then
upgrade your trial status and become a member today! Enjoy all the amazing
benefits that come with a paid subscription. Click Here"  If you click through
this box a second box appears, saying "Warning! Notice: Click the
"Subscribe" button below to authorize the charge -- no hassle!  Click "No
Thanks" to keep your trial status.  Clicking the "Subscribe" button to authorize
the charge is the only way of upgrading out of the trial early. It's an option that comes with a "Warning!" because we want our trial users to be very aware that if they click the "subscribe" button they are making the decision to opt out of the free trial. We're upfront and try to be as clear as possible.

I spoke to Sheryl and she helped me get my refund. I read all terms and conditions prior to signing up for the "7 Day Free Trial". It appears that when you sign up for the free trial you do not get all the features offered by the web site. I clicked on a photo and it asked me if I wanted to upgrade. I agreed to upgrade under the impression that this was part of the sign up process for the "7 Day Free Trial". I guess they had 2 terms and conditions; one which I read thoroughly and one which I didn't even notice. Sheryl understood my position and was able to offer me a full refund. I should be getting a refund in 3-5 business days.

I happen to be one who reads terms and conditions prior to agreeing to anything i sign up for on-line. I feel that Foreclosure.com is not attempting to scam consumers but they should be more informative in their initial terms and conditions and more informative when advertising the "7 Day Free Trial". I personally feel they should tell you upfront that by agreeing to "upgrade" you have "canceled" the free trial and actually signed up for the service terminating the terms and conditions of the Free Trial.
