On the evening Monday Aug 4th  I went to Foreman Motors to look at a 1999 Honda Civic listed in the ad for $2999.00.    I was allowed to drive around the lot and I said I was unhappy with the vehicle however I was intimidated into signing papers.  Asking how much it would be total I was told $6,640.00 assuming this was the pay off I signed the papers and gave them $700.00 cash.  I did not realize they had changed the sale price to $6,640.00 and were then going to charge me 27% interest on that plus fees. totaling $12,710.40.  I tried to refuse the deal and cancel the contract they will not allow me to do that.

While at the dealership I was intimidate tothe point I just did what they told me.

The vehicle has the following issues: Manifold gasket leaks, no tail pipe, leaky muffler, oil pan seal leaks and possibly other fluids, bad head gasket, driver side window won't close tire core is showing on the inside of the tires.  Plus excessive body rot covered with spray paint.  The odometer reading on the paperwork says exempt.  My insurance company won't insure more than liability.

Research shows that this vehicle was sold as salvage.

As I stated on Aug 5th and 6th to Foreman Motors I want to cancel the contract and get my deposit back.  They said no one was available each time I called that could do that .  Then after the 72 hours ran out they said they would trespass me if I went there.   They called me on the 15th and offered to pay me $200 to drop the complaint.

Two weeks after I filed a complaint with the state the said they would pay $200 to drop the complaint and they came and towed my trade.

Florida law states that if a dealer sells youn a car with a salvage title, he HAS to dislose it. Plainly, cleary and in writing ith your signature accompaning it. If they haven't, they HAVE to refnd the money and cancel the deal. period. Contact the DMV about this. They can help.
