Complaint Review: Forest Pharmaceuticals. Aka Celexa Manufacturers

A huge THANK YOU to Georgia of TX for her comments regarding the causal relationship between Celexa, Citalopram and my vision loss. Since Georgia has a background in the Medical field - I certainly appreciate her comments regarding adverse affects of Celexa and other medications.

Also appreciate her note of caution regarding Drug Manufacturers and the FDA. If headlines are correct regarding the concealment of pre-market studies in at least one well publicized case - it would seem that the union between Drug Manufacturers & the FDA is INCESTUOUS.

I have some information for you. I am so sorry for the loss of vision in your eye, that must be devestating. I have seen many of the same kinds of things happen with the "new age" antipsychotics and antidepressant medications. The asprin the doctor tells you to take for your heart to keep the blood flowing freely??? That also causes macular degeneration, also puts many at Higher Risk for stroke and heart attack! All you need to do is take a good suppliment with adequate levels of Magnesium and Potassium. Many of the RX "meds" robb you of your electrolytes and stop absorbtion of nutrients so watch out! Antidepressants? It has been proven over and over that Fish Oil (get the good stuff by USANA which is twice molecularly distilled for clean-no mercury fish oil). It will also prevent heart attack, stroke, bring down HTN, stop or halt progression of arthritis, osteoporosis, some cancers, altzheimers, many other ailments too!). The pharm companies have a new fish oil "drug" out now: Guess what the FDA "approved drug" fish oil costs??? (The same one the FDA said for years wont help cure or prevent any disease???) (Oh, it's the same fish oil as what you find in health food stores, maybe a little stronger in DHA and EPA, just take an extra fish oil capsule equal it). It costs $236.89!!!!!!!!!!!!!! That is right! How ludicrous! A bottle of health food store fish oil or USANA is about $12.00. Also, St Johns Wart does the same thing as antidepressants without side effects. It has been shown in study after study (good clean studies too, not the kind the pharmaceutical companies put out) show that St Johns is equally if not more effective than any of the antidepressants on the market. I think Zoloft is more than $2.00 a pill now. If one St Johns Wart doesnt work you can take more without worry. It costs around $10.00. I know it has worked for a few people I know. PMS? Im sure you can find alternatives to these dangerous drugs if you search the net or subscribe to an alternative health periodical. My would guess is St Johns Wart will do it. You know these kids in the news that murder other kids or their families? Several of them were on these RX antidepressants. They have not been approved by the FDA for kids to use but they give em to them anyway. SOME of the side effects are violet behaviors, suicide ideation and homicidal ideation, some actually go through with those ideations. Adults get these side effect too but drug companies never get the blame. They give you lip service. If you check Life Extension Magazine they will tell you the stats on drug deaths (direct causes of death from pharmaceutical drugs) which is the leading cause of death in this country. The FDA is not only NOT doing their job but they are hiding the dirty little secrets of the pharm companies. The pharm companies know full good and well the deaths they cause and the maiming and the misery they cause! Take Vioxx (no, dont TAKE it, unless you want a stroke). They left it on the market so they could make many many more millions of dollars before they pulled it (it caused so many deaths and strokes they couldnt hide it anymore). The FDA was fully aware of this. You think they care about your one eye??? NOPE! I have been hoping to see the pharmaceutical companies taken to court and given "credit" for a lot of these crimes but not yet. They need to be blamed, rightly blamed for the kids and adults who kill, but not yet, it's comming. I could go on and on about side effects of "medicine" (the chemical kind).
Please by all means go to the nearest Western doctor or ER if you have an acute problem (infection or life threatening condition) but stay away from them for all other chronic problems, such as depression, diabetes, high blood pressure, arthritis, anything you will experience for more than a few weeks. Educate yourself, please! We cant afford not to anymore. There is a doctor (MD)David Williams who can teach you and he has suppliments specifically for macular degen, even regenerate the growth of your retina and he claims it can restore your vision. This guy is a real MD and he knows what he is talking about. Go on line or phone 800-219-8591 and ask about it. He does alternative health and I have read enough by him to believe in him. I take some of his suppliments also and they work well for very little $. The guy also writes and is on the panel for Life Extension Magazine which I read religiously and is way above reproach.

Hey he also has a natural medicine that can reverse cataracts without surgery!
By the way, I'm a RN in a psych hospital (at the moment but work in ER's and regular hospitals too, so I know of what I speak.
