Forest River corporate Offices. "IF YOU WANT TO READ A RIPOFF",Then this is a MUST read, cause boy did I get ripped off. Elkhart, Indiana
Hello,my name is Brad and I am not at all happy with my 2008 33ft Signature Ultra Lite Rockwood trailer that I purchased brand new February 16/2008 from Travel Home RV in Langley BC.I wanted to invest in a well built good quality trailer so that me and the wife could do some traveling once I retire and also in between that time.
I went to Travel Home RV and asked a sales rep to show me around some of the units they had and made it clear that I was new at buying a trailer so I would be relying on his knowledge and honest opinion about each trailer. He assured me that I was in good hands. He showed me a few really nice trailers that interested me but he insisted he saved the best for last.Thats when he showed me the Rockwood. He said that the rockwood was made by Forest River inc. and that they built the best trailers and that there #1 priority was customer saftey and saticfaction. They used only top quality parts and materials to build there trailers.
So I bought the rockwood and I hooked up to it and brought it home.Thats when my retirement dream became a nightmare. It was only a short time that I had it and problems started.First the pipes for the bathroom sink ect.started to leak and cause water damage in the wall where the pipes are.I called Travel Home RV to let them no of the problem and they sent a repair guy to fix it.The pipes had to be replaced, the problem was poor quality and cheap pipes and fittings. The wall panels also were replaced do to water damage. Then the built in stereo was shorting out and they came three times to fix it ,couldn't so I found someone that did. There are all sorts of little things that Are going wrong but I am going to move onto the serious things.
The next biggie was the hotwater tank it began to leak and caused water damage and eventually stopped working all together. It turned out to be a factory default in the valve to the tank Now this is where I worry, all the flooring from the front door into the kitchen area where hotwater tank leaked and all the way to the bathroom have become very soft and are now to the point that it is a saftey issue and is only getting worse. Now the bathroom walls are seperating from the cieling
also the toilet has come seperated from the floor,it is horrible. My three year old trailer that I paid over $40,000.00 for is falling apart and nobody seems to care enough to help rectify the problem. It is sad that they are turning there nose up at me and I am not responsible for any of it.It is my opinion and others that it left the factory that way because all the problems point right back to the factory, defaults and very poor quality materials and parts, and if they inspected this traler as close as they claim then this trailer would have never left the production line.
All I wanted was a trailer that is not going to fall apart and that will be road worthy and worth all the money I have to pay.My trailer will fall apart if I try to move it now and it is only three years old.Now I just want to get the trailer out of mylife and my debt for it cleared and still have my good credit. They can have the thing back, just PLEASE PLEASE SOMEBODY HELP ME GET ANSWERS AND TO MAKE THIS RIGHT.
I should not have to pay big bucks for a factory default trailer that in no way was inspected closely like they claim. This is no way to treat a customer whos only fault was listening to a sales rep that only cared about a sale and not saftey and honesty. They must have seen me comming a mile away.Thank You for your time.
Sincerly yours Brad

Definitely sounds like a ripoff to me. Punctuation has nothing to do with it.
Some people have too much time on their hands.

Hey Brad,
Back when you went to school, were you taught to put a space between sentences, after the period? Maybe not in Canada?
Have you requested warranty service on the trailer?
