We bought a XLR Ultralite Toy Hauler in August 2011. We have had nothing but trouble ever since we bought it. WE noticed before we ever took it out the first time that the fridge didn't work. Back to Billings, Mt. to have that fixed. Then when we had taken it on our first trip to Glacier National Park, where the evenings are still chilly in August, and our first evening we discovered the heater didn't work!!! The next morning our hot water didn't work and we had to take cold showers. The shower seal was non existent and the water leaked out of the shower onto the bathroom floor a lot!

Getting those problems fixed we had taken it out a few others times and nothing drastic had happened. We had planned a trip to Flathead lake over the 4th of July weekend 2013 and preparing our trailer I noticed standing water on one of the platforms by one of the beds. We had put a box on the table type platform and when I went to pick it up it was sopping wet!!! Part of the box had stuck to the tabletop! Then we noticed the water leak was more extensive, the cabinets above the bed were coming out of the wall and the bottoms in the cabinets were falling out! Then we also noticed the wall beside the bed was completely bowed out!!! We had MAJOR water damage to our trailer.

The roof was leaking, evidently the roof was installed wrong and obviously the toy hauler was NOT inspected before leaving the facotry OR the dealer in Billings where we bought it, I-90 Motors and RV. The roof is spongy and extends all the way back to the cargo area. Now we are left w/ an unusable trailer and Forest River doesn't give a rip. We contacted the warranty/customer service department and the woman who was suppose to help us or steer us in the right direcition was SO rude that we didn't get anywhere.

Forest River makes faulty trailers and toy haulers so don't be fooled by the appearance, what lurks behind the walls and below the floors is not quality work. We are continuing to pay for this hunk of junk trailer and are in the process of speaking w/ our insurance company and will probably have to seek legal counsel to get this solved. The dealer was no help whatsoever and originally told us he'd locate a replacement for us. What a joke, when I located an identical trailer in Missoula and called Billings to let them know the owner avoided my calls and never returned them We didn't want another Forest River toy hauler but our alternatives are few after spending so much money on it. We traded in our Jayco trailer and had minimal problems with our with that trailer! At this point after our water soaked toy hauler set in I-90 Motor's lot for a week when they were "suppose" to be DOING something has only made the condition of our toy hauler worse. It has been closed up and no one has attempted to work on it. Bozeman Ford said they wouldn't touch it, the entire front end will have to come off and replaced, the bed and cabinets and the entire roof is mush. THANKS FOREST RIVER, your product is sub par and you don't even care about customer satisfaction. I don't know what is going on in your production lines but someone needs to crack the whip and inspect your product before it's fit for purchase. We will NEVER buy your trailers again.

Over sized lawn ornament

I bought a 20014 Surveyor in November 2013. First time I used it, late May 2014, it flooded, hadn't even used the water yet. It flooded on a nother occation which by now, nails are coming up through the floor. Obviously the particalboard had swelled. That being said, everytime the slideout is pushed out or pulled in, it's pulling the flooring up. Out of 6 trips, only 2 where succesful.  It has been in service more than it's sat on my property. Running lights, porch lights constantly burn out. It almost caught fire just sitting here. The battery was swelling, ready to blow. This is the 3rd battery I've had to put in. Needed it for inspection because I am suing. The break away emergency brake FRIED to the toung on my last trip end of April 2016. Thank god I was already in the campground when it happened. First time I had passengers with me.

Now here it sits on my property as an oversized lawn ornament or my women cave. I love this camper but am afraid of it. It has electrical/plumbing issues. Had them right out pf the gate. I would not ever buy Forest River ever again. They are not a reputable company. I even offered on three occations to drive it to Indiana, to corporate. Nope, they just throw them together and you buy this crap.....you're stuck with it. Unless you hire an attorney, like I have. No one takes me for over $25,000.00. No one.
