One of my most happy days turned to crap. 6/3/14 I bought a new Harley. I was ready to try a cruiser and had thought about the V-Rod and talked to the salesman who was very nice and receptive to what I was wanting.
I had a trade in and when I offered my bike I checked book which was 11900 and they offered $9000. Nope I said I need book because there was a payoff. We agreed on $11000 . Then I thought "I have something else to trade" I brought that to the table and was verbally told "we''ll do $2250 on that". I'm thinking cool we are getting $13250 less pay off.
I had been there 4.5 hours I drank tea and pissed a gallon during that wait. That was HD finance that did that.
Finally I was introduced to the F&I lady she was nice too, I'm looking my paperwork over and see the 1st bike $11000 and the 2nd one isn't there. I'm thinking Wtf? So I ask and was assured it was included and please sign all this stuff and you qualify for esp, tire and gap. It's included if you want it. Sign here....
I'm grumpy and tired wanting the hell out of there and signed knowing once I could definitively go over all of it I could cancel any extra crap I didn't want.
I get home and the wife scrutinized the paperwork and said Harley Davidson of Ft Myers did not give you $13250.
It was decided we'd go to the dealer to ask about the discrepancy. We asked the sales Manager who pulled "their" deal sheet and it was revealed that I wasn't given $2250, I was given $1800. I then asked why $499 was needed for a registeration transfer that cost $55? It costs that to do the paperwork. Now I was there when the lady did the transfer it took 5-10 minutes They charged $100 a minute Wtf? I also saw $1500 for a dealer prep fee? I then checked HarleyDavidson.com and see transport fees is 350 or so. So lets see now they added an additional $2000 to my bike JUST BECASE I BOUGHT IT FROM THEM. Well let's say $1400 I expect to pay destination and dealer set up, but goddamn $1500!

So let's recap:
2014 Harley Breakout 18499
Security system.           320
dealer prep.                    1500
dealer doc fees.             499
extended warranty.       914
esp1 tire n wheel.          544
gap insurance.               500
                                        $22485

Or so I thought. No hell no this is their breakdown:
2014 Harley Breakout   $21000
Set up.                              $1450
Doc fee.                            $499
Extended service cont. $914
Gap.                                  $515
Tire n Wheel cont.          $544
Tax.                                   $786
Tag&title???                    $94
Total.                                $25692

Now tell me that the price of the bike wasn't inflated. I was royally taken advantage of. I cancelled all the extra bullshit warranties and expressed my disgust on the lowball they actually gave me on my trades.
Would I ever buy there again? f**k No! In 9 years I have had 6 different bikes. Yeah I trade in frequently. I made sure the dealer knew that hoping they'd treat me right but nope! All they care about is Making This Sale. Not keeping me as a customer.  If they had you can be sure I would have been back! My wife wants a Hard Candy Voodoo Purple Flake Sportster, we'll definitely be going to Black Widow HD!

Beware when dealing with Fort Myers Harley Davidson! Double check every d**n thing or you'll surely get screwed too!

Dealer worked to find a solution amiable for both parties. Impressed with how Gil handled everything. I would recommend them.
