FortaCloud / FortaTrust : Credit Card Fraud, Lies, Broken Service, Corruption, Extortion

You can read various negative reports about FortaCloud and FortaTrust simply by typing in "FortaCloud FortaTrust Reviews" into Google with a vast similitude with my own story. The deceptive part of this 'free VPS' service is that it is one of the top listed Google ads when looking for a free VPS. They must feed the stolen credit card money to google to get a higher ranking. These people need to have a class action lawsuit against them for the fraud they have comitted, as well as PayPal closing the accounts they use to defraud people. PayPal and Google are both responsible for this one.

FortaCloud (VPS Services) offers a supposedly free hosting service that locks you into increasing exorbitant fees and credit card fraud, multiply charging people's cards into oblivion. First they say they need access to your credit card or PayPal account at $.50 per month just to make sure you're still there. Once the agreement is done over paypal, etc, they double charge $1.97 or so for the supposedly free service.

I found what I signed up for is a 'free' 10GB virtual private server running Debian 6.0. When I get into the part of the site that lets me play around with the VPS services, The Debian 6 was a valid option when signing up for the free service, but it makes mention that one needs to buy a 25 GB service with them in order to install Debian 6 and it is blanked out as an option. So I toy around wtih an Ubuntu install to see if it works. It worked as an install from CD, but when rebooted, the VPS loses everything that I put hours of work into doing. Later I cannot even use the interfaces that are provided to control the VM.

I submit a support ticket and find out that it isn't even submitted -- more than a month later and that I need to pay money $8 or so for the support ticket to go through.

I get emails later saying that they are charging me for running the 'free advertised VPN' when I wasn't able to log into it and told them it didn't work in the support ticket. They don't let you contact them (email/phone/support tickets don't work even if paid for in most cases) and then I have heard from otehrs that they send threatening emails that inform people Forta***** will report them to various credit reporting agencies if they don't pay up for services they never even received, including a support ticket that didn't even go thru until paid.

There are no cancellation options on the site. Their emails arrive at the SPAM part of google mail for a reason.

The only reason I paid $13.00 or so a month later is to avoid their asshattery.

They changed the location information of the company on the site from
FortaTrust
3701 NW 82nd Ave
Doral, Florida USA

to a non-US Panama based location, probably to avoid being sued in US territory for all the fraud they are comitting. There are hundreds of bad reviews online of their fraudulent charges to people's credit cards if they are unfortunate to submit the credit card information to this company. There is no means of getting in touch with support (without paying a $5 fee per support ticket) and no means of closing an account at one's own discretion, once active, so they keep one locked into a perpetual debt loot even if one wishes to cancel or delete their account. In the meanwhile they try to extort money from people with bogus threat emails of reporting them to credit agencies for not paying something that they didn't even agree to consciously. They changed the terms of service while people bought into the 'free' service, instead they get the FEE service that sucks every last dime off of any credit card that is submitted to them.
