I purchased a policy back in early october. I was told the policy would go into effect 3-6 business days. 2 Weeks later I was still not covered. I called to get a group number for my doctor and Daniel refused, He kept trying to tell my Imust pay my deductable first.

I agreed, but to do so I need a group number to process the claims. He would not provide it to me. He kept stateing I need to pay 500. first. Well that is fine and dandy, but how are the supose to know I have meet my requirements?????

I want to submit a claim and recieve an EOB. He never answered my question. A month went buy and I still heard nothing. I then recieve some RX. I went to get them and the policy

I have was never processed. There is no record of my policy. I call the perscription plan number and they could not find it either. I got hung up on, pushed into voicemail, and hung up on again. Eventhought they are my provider they would not issue a temp number and bring it up with there other department.

So for 2 months I have paid for a policy and have not been able to use it. DO NOT WASTE YOU"RE MONEY ON THE POLICY> THIS IS A SCAM!!!!I HAVE REPORT IT TO THE PROPER ATHORITIES

As an insurance Agent in another state then yours let me express how sorry I am for what happened to you. It is always extremely irritating to me to find out some dumb agent has done what you say has happened. But please don't automatically blame the company he sold you.

All insurance companies have a normal underwriting process for all individual insurance policies. Depending on your health it can take as long as 30 days. The first thing he did was tell you it would only take a couple that is a misrepresentation.

A misrepresentation is illegal in my home state and can cause an agent to loose his license. It sound like it may benefit everyone if this one did. I can go on and on about many more things you mentioned this agent did that are imoral and possibly illegal, but the main thing you need to do is contact your insurance commissioner's office.

There will be a hearing and if they find that what you say is true they will order restitution and possibly suspend his license to do business. I can say from my personal experience that Fortis by all my accounts is a respectable company and it sounds like you have had an awful experience not because of them but because of a dishonest agent whom should not be in the business.
