A few months ago after being on the hunt for employment for some time, I received a call from Nimit Vidyalankar. He is the "CEO" of Fortune 5, Inc. His company shares an office with another: GDR and Associates, this is important for all of you because the name on the door only says GDR. As a matter of fact, you will not find Fortune 5, Inc. posted anywhere on the entire building.

I took this position against my better judgment because, I needed some type of income. On the surface, Nimit makes this "opportunity" sound very appealing, lucrative and stable. It's not until later I learned that my intuition in the beginning was correct.

He presents it as follows:

" We are recruited by Fortune 500 companies to market for them. We take all of the expense out of marketing their products, thus putting us in great demand. Our clients wants thousands of our offices opened around the world."

Believe me when I tell you, it reads much cornier. He is a very persuasive person. I almost believed him.

I gave this "opportunity" a shot, worked my butt off, spent a ton of money in gas expense and suffered through thousands of doors slammed in my face.

For 2 hours every morning the group of us were subjected to "workshops" covering the 4s, 5s, and 8s. These represent the four impulse factors, the five steps to a conversation and the eight great work habits. Admittedly, these are legitimate ideas, however the way they are practiced and the real motivation is much less than legitimate.

The group I worked for represented Qwest Communications in the business to business sales arena. As I waded through all of this I was able to help some businesses save some money monthly and get better services. Though I was not making much money, only about 300 per week. I asked to be sent out with someone who was making 4 to 500 dollars per day to see what this person was doing differently. That request was denied.

One day I came across a customer who invited me into his office. He was very cordial to me, however, what he had to say was not good. One of the "Account Managers" had outright lied to him in order to close a sale. Instead of helping the customer streamline his billing and save him money as this rep had promised; she raised the bill over $75 per month! This was the rep I had asked to be sent out with. No wonder she was making 500 dollars per day! She was lying to customers!

We were all told we were going to start selling something new, that we were to be the "pioneers" and we would be on a per diam pay structure until we could negotiate a commission schedule. This something "new" turned out to be door to door sales of Qwest Residential services.

Nimit has never explained to anyone what the pay will be and has had people working with no expectation of what they are earning.

He actually at one time said he would only pay some people 50 dollars a day. That is not even minimum wage!

For one week many reps hit the field with no knowledge of their expected pay, attempting to sell a product that is over priced and of lesser quality than the competition. After a day of selling, I figured out how much money I would have made on the 2 sales. It came to a whopping 54 dollars! Which by the way had to be split with the "entry level" employee I was out with. Amazing! A twenty seven dollar day!

Believe this much if you consider going to work at either Fortune 5, Inc. or GDR and Associates. Both of these offices are part of a larger pyramid conglomerate called Cydcor. The idea is to find people who will do absolutely anything to make a few sales, who don't mind cheating people out of their hard earned money and who have no conscience about lying to their employees to line their own pockets.

Nimit will sell you on the idea that you can go in the field and "sacrifice now to play later", that you can "build a team", and that you too can own an office within Cydcor. What Nimit won't tell you is that only the people who have no conscience and will use whoever they encounter to get to their own ends have any shot at all. Nimit will tell you that it's all about honesty and integrity, but pay attention to what really happens when there is dishonesty in the workplace. The only ones punished are the ones he doesn't like. He likes the 4-500 dollar a day rep that is cheating and lying. Why? Because she lines his pockets.

Nimit gets paid "owners stroke" on whatever his reps do. Something in the neighborhood of 2 times what the rep makes. So this rep is making him 800-1000 dollars per day! No matter what the means, all he cares about is the money the people he "interviews" and hires might make him.

He'll call it a people helping people business. He only helps the people that subscribe to his BS. If you ask questions, you'll be labeled a whiner. If you have legitimate concerns, they will be "spun" to make you feel like an idiot.

Just because I think it would be nice to share, here are the 4s and 5s as these are the valuable things to take away from Cydcor, Fortune 5, Inc and GDR and Associates:

4 Impulse factors: Jones Effect: Want what neighbors have. Indifference: Acting the opposite of a salesman. Fear of Loss: Here today, gone tomorrow. Sense of Urgency:

5 Steps to a Conversation: 1. Introduction: Use icebreakers, build a personal relationship. This represents 90% of the close. 2. Short Story: Tell the person who you are and why you are there. Keep it simple and build impulse. 3. Presentation: Build buying impulse, keep it simple and show the big picture advantage. 4. Close: Stop asking questions, assume the sale. 5. Rehash: Ask for referrals etc.

This is a scam and my long winded posting here is meant to provide some more in depth understanding and evidence to show the scam to all of you. Another note, when people have quit this "job", they have had challenge with getting paid the money owed them, money they earned. Nimit refuses to mail paychecks to former employees, even though Arizona law requires monies owed former employees be mailed before the next pay period ends. I am sure there is some form of legal action that could be taken.

I would also encourage any former or current employees of either firm to come forward and work together to get these swindling cheats out of Phoenix.
