I received a letter and check of $3,874.22 from the Forum Lotto Channel in Prince Edwards Island. In the letter it told me to call them and talk to Nancy Howard at 19024128924 ext. 315.
When I talked to her she told me to deposit the check and wait for it to clear and after it cleared to send the amount of $3,000. After you send the money for taxes they would send the remaining amount of $51,126.00. They told me and it also stated on the letter that I was selected from the North American Sweepstakes that was held on September 7, 2006 and won $55,000. The $3,874 would be used for taxes. And then would send the remaining amount listed above.

The check is probably a copy of one issued by a legitimate company but it's a forgery. It will take weeks before the problem is known at the real company, they return the check to your bank, and the bank comes after you for the money.
Think about it. Any monies required for taxes, etc., should come out of a check for the whole amount. You're not winning anything if you have to send them money.
Make a copy of all you received and start sending them to your congressmen.
