FOUNDATION FINANCIAL GROUP, LLC The Many LIES of Foundation Financial , Jacksonville and Tampa Florida / Atlanta, Georgia
This company called our phone all day long for a week. No one ever answered and they filled up our voicemail. Then they called from a different number that didnt say 'Foundation Finan' on the caller ID. Thats how it all started.
An employee of Foundation Financial harassed and tried to pressure my wife in to giving all of our information over the phone. After telling them no, 3 times and hanging up on them 3 times I answered the phone instead and received a call from that employees manager. She said her name was Crystal Glen.
What she said was, that she knows that we applied for a mortgage because their company received my information from one of the credit bureaus. She led me to believe that they might be able to help me and have something good to offer. I dont normally give information over the phone, but looking back she was very convincing and high-pressure (almost threatening). Crystal was skillfully manipulating me and I didnt even realize it. I feel like I was pickpocketed. I should have known then that this place was a TOTAL SCAM!!!
A few hours later she called me back and told me they had the best loan I could possibly get with my credit. I thought I had good credit, but they told me that was not the case. She told me I needed to make a decision right now or I would lose the interest rate promised. She told me this is the way it always is, and I had to move fast. She told me I had to give them almost $500 for the appraisal at that time.
I didn't really feel like I had any choice at that point. Against my better judgment, I decide to go ahead with the whole deal. I paid her the $500 fee (which she said is required by law that I pay her that much and it was just really a formality.)
Then, a couple days later, an appraiser comes out who was 2 hours late and rude to my wife to do the appraisal. I was already regretting agreeing to it, but I was already in and the rate they promised didnt sound that bad, I guess.
About 2 weeks later, I get a horrible phone call from Crystal Glen again. Even though she promised me MANY times that they did all of their research on me and my home to insure the value was there for me to do the refinance. She tells me that my home value is way below what I owe on my home loan and that I am upside down on the morgage. I know my home is worth more than what they said! Since I felt this was thier fault, I asked for my money back. Thats when i found out the money was NON-Refundable under all circumstances (she said)
They told me 2 weeks ago I was already approved for a loan (A LIE), they told me they did all of their research already and that they were sure I had the value in my home to do the refinance (A LIE). Now I am out $500 (A RIP OFF) and can not get my money back. I would have much rather dealt with a reputable loan company and not had to deal with any of this to start.
Dont fall for this scam yourself. DON'T EVER GIVE THEM $500!!! If you see a call from (770) 615-4451 - do not answer. (I would suggest changing your number to get them to stop calling you)
I found out the hard way, that it really is not safe to give out your information over the phone. Even to what I thought was a real company. Lesson learned, I guess.
Sincerely,
Screwed in M'a*s achussets!
