On saturday 05.30.09 I was looking online for a vehicle, I found one that we were interested in, I called Fowler Dodge and I was told the vehicle was on the lot. So, my family loaded up and drove to OKC from approx. 1.5 hrs away. Upon arrival we were greeted and directed to a salesman. We asked about the vehicle we had called about and they told us it was in Dallas (no one could tell us why it was in Dallas), I then told them that we were told that it was on the lot, the salesman made some B.S. excuse up, but I could tell he was lying (profession) He showed us another vehicle but it was not what we wanted. They then told us that the vehicle would be back on the lot on 06.01.09, IT never showed up. While I was up there on saturday I tried to speak to him about the price of the vehicle and deal with him, He would not and acted like I was not even part of the dealings. I asked him about the $500 gas card that was supposed to have been included in the purchase of the vehicle (according to yahoo autos) he had to look it up and then came back and said that was not for Fowler Dodge it was for Fowler Toyota. This was a very bad experience and we WILL never go back there to do any kind of dealings through this dealership. They lied to us several times, just a piss poor experience. HIGHLY RECOMMEND when thinking of purchasing a vehicle, do not stop at Fowler Dodge.

I am sorry you got taken for a ride with Fowler Dodge. Unfortunately it happens all the time in the auto industry. I guarantee what happened to you was the internet salesperson received your information and did a search of the system to find the vehicle matching your specifics. The vehicle may be on the lot or may be in Dallas. They tell you it's there because the sell the appointment thinking you will not show. When you do show up, they come up with some lame story how the vehicle was sold yesterday or the vehicle is at our sister store in Dallas. The say well we have other vehicles for you to look at and try to sell you what's on their lot and a greatly higher price than was quoted from the internet. What I would suggest is you get confirmation the specific vehicle they quote is there at the dealership. Ask them to send pics of the vehicle to determine if it fits you needs. If the vehicle is not there tell them you understand and ask how long it would take to get the vehicle brought up after the sale. A dealership will not commit to a dealer trade with another dealership unless they have a signed commitment from you. The hardest thing to do in the auto industry is to get the salesperson to be honest with you. If they are quick to tell you the vehicle is in stock chances are it is not. I am sure you can get the same thing accomplished at your local dealership. They can run a check of available vehicles to see what fits you from other dealerships. They can have it shipped up for you. Good luck and I hope this is helpful for you.
