In June of 2008 I purchased a 2002 Nissan Sentra from Fox Lake Auto.

In July 2008 my wife also purchased a 2002 Chevy Impala from Fox lake Auto. In October of 2008 due to financial hardship my wife surrendered her Chevy Impala. At the time she surrendered her car, she was (1) $200 payment behind. The day we brought her vehicle back to Fox lake Auto I made a $400.00 payment on my car, a 2002 Nissan Sentra, and was told by Fox lake Auto I could come back in a few days to pay the (1) 200.00 payment for my wife's car, that was overdue.

Fox lake took my $400.00 payment and promised that that full amount would be applied to my Nissan's balance. I was a payment behind so the $400.00 would have caught my car up, allowing me to focus on paying her $200.00 payment. Several weeks later, without notice or even a phone call Fox lake Auto repossessed my Nissan Sentra due to being a payment behind.

I was under the impression that I was caught up, since I had made a $400.00 payment. Fox Lake Auto claimed I was several weeks behind, so they repossessed the car. I looked over my paperwork and realized that Fox Lake did NOT apply the full $400.00 to my Nissan, but instead just $200.00, the other $200 was applied to my wife's Chevy anyways, breaking their verbal agreement.

This, combined with the $200.00 payment I made specifically for her car means that Fox Lake Auto Took $400.00 in payments for my wife's Chevy, when only $200 was due. In order for me to get my car back, I paid out about $1100.00 in various late fees, towing fee and past payments they "determined" I was overdue, BECAUSE of their dishonesty and failure to assign money to the correct account. We paid $170.00 in cash, $589.99 on credit card, and I paid another $400.00 within a few days. to get my car back. I paid the amount just to not lose the money I had invested in my Nissan. At this point I was caught up.

In June of 2009 I went in to make a payment and was told there was a overdue balance of $300.00 on my account for the towing fees from my repossession. I told the owner I had paid that amount, and was asked to provide receipts to prove it. I provided the receipts showing I had paid a total of $1159.99 to get my car back. Fox Lake Auto charged my wife's credit card for $589.00 as part of the payment, but INSTEAD of applying that amount towards the intended purpose, my 2002 Nissan Sentra, they applied that amount towards the Chevy we had surrendered 4 months before - Without permission, or authorization.

I asked Greg, the owner of Fox Lake Auto to transfer that amount to my Nissan, showing him their own receipts for that transaction on the date I was to pick up my car. Fox Lake Auto flat out refuses to refund that amount back, or make good on their actions. I overpaid a total of $1159.99 because of their dishonesty and deceptive business practices. Additionally Fox Lake Auto charged our credit card for $589.99 fraudulently, since the transaction was not applied to the account we intended. Fox Lake Auto refuses to make good on the amount I overpaid, nor will they refund the amount they stole from us through deceptive business practices and bad faith.

Fox Lake Auto of Oklahoma City are dishonest thieves who have no problem defrauding money from their customers.
