As a relative fan of football, I, along with my father purchased the use of a season ticket holder for a pre-season game. The ticket price was 75 dollars per seat X 2 seats. Parking was 35.00 Beer (believe it or not) was 7.50 for bottled and 7.00 for draft. Bottled Water ran 5.00 a pop. No drinks/bottles etc can be brought into the park. No water fountains anywhere. Therefore, we were subjected to buying beer and water and food for this game in the new stadium.

Now, let me make things perfectly clear. I don't begrudge anyone for making a profit on their wares. I know Bob Kraft put in a ton of money to get the stadium built, but does he have to get it all back in 1 season. There was nobody on the field that appeared to be a starter. Brady I think played about 2 minutes and that was that. I feel that for someone spending the amount of money that we did to see our favorite players, even not so favorite players, play a game, even pre season (last preseason game) we should not have been subjected to such that we were. I would not have minded it as much if we got to see a couple of starters.

So, for over 250.00 we got to see a horrible second and third string get their butts kicked by the Colts is highly unreasonable. This is also why I stopped going to see the Celtics and Red Sox. Too high of a price to watch a bunch of overpaid crybabies run around a field. I think I must now add football to that list. Bob Kraft, without the average income fans, you better start lining up some more soccer and concert events. Bacause us fans can only put up with so much before we decide to watch the games on the television.

I think it would be fair to return the ticket amount paid for this game. We left just as the Colts scored. Did not want to even bother staying any longer. Waste of time

I would first like to say that I completely agree with you about the insane cost of going to any sporting event, but...
As a fan of the New England Patriots, I have to say every dollar is worth it. Yes, we Pat's fans pay more per ticket than any other fans in the league (it's true, look it up) but you honestly can't say that they don't deliver! I mean, a brand new stadium and TWO Superbowls in 3 seasons. That on top of, in my opinion, more excitement per game than any other team in the NFL.

As for no starters playing, you take that chance in the pre-season. It pretty much goes without saying that if you do get to see a starter play, it won't be for more than a the 1st or 2nd quarter. Sorry you were disappointed, but at least now you know not to go all out on spending during pre-season.
GO PATS!!!!!!!!!

P.S. The last pre-season game was against the Jacksonville Jaguars, not Indianapolis.

What did you expect from a Pre-Season game?

These things were posted on the Patriots web site. It was also on sports center. They were trying out the second and third stringers. Think of it this way, Tom Brady started out as a fourth string quarterback. They all have to start sometime, and they made it known it would be pre-season. Also, the last preseason game they played was against the Jaguars. They opened the season on Thursday the ninth against the Colts and won 27-24 !!!!

The person holding the season tickets should have known all this. I can understand if your not a really big fan of football and don't visit the sites and watch alot of sports center, but if your gonna spend the money to go to the game, you might find it worth it to research these things. As it was well broadcasted, the Patriots and Bob Kraft did not rip you off, maybe the person holding the passes did.

I went to that game as well, and like you, paid for someone else's season tix. I understand being a little disappointed, but it is pre-season, and good teasm like the Pat's rest their starters to allow some new kids on the block to show their stuff. Any football fan knows that that's just the way the cookie crumbles. And you expect money back? I would understand that if NO Patriots players were in the game. They were in the game, just not the precise individuals you were hoping to see. What a whiney baby you are. I'm glad you weren't seated next to me, you probably complained through the whole d**n game.
