Franchise Tax Board levied my social security bank account $1,000.00. SSDI/SSI funds are exempt; both Chase and the FTB know that. Yet Chase allowed FTB to take my exempt funds, after I notified both of them that the funds were Social Security, exempt. All deposits were direct from Social Security, no other sources, easy to prove. Now I have to find out how to get my money back. One attorney wanted $250.00! What a hustle. I'm trying to get my illegally seized funds without  paying even more money. I'm low income and having difficulty finding Legal Aid/Assistance. Niether Chase nor FTB have been helpful.
