i to was ripped off at frank myers auto maxx, they got me good. when i got there i asked about a car seen on their website, i was told they had two on the lot, after their credit check i was offered their 4.9% and $250 down but i needed 4, yes that's right 4 cosignners, what a joke, i was told that's ok , we use 30 different lenders, if you don't use your own bank, they only have one, credit quick, which is owned by frank myers investments, then it it was time to see the car,

i was taken outside, i was shown a car, i asked the saleman about the car i came to see, i was then told they didn't have one, i told the saleman that i had heart problems and i could not be in extreme heat that needed a car with a good a/c, i was told that the car he was showing me was a good car , as we were signing the paperwork, i  kept asking to see the contract, i was told that i hadn't got to it yet, after signing more papers. i asked again, i was told again that i hadn't got to it, after only 2 papers left i asked again, i was told i had already signed the contract, i told the saleman earlier i needed the payments arouaynd $200 a month,he told me it would be a little over $200 but not much, another lie,my contract, 29% interest, and $306 a month, i would have never signed a contract like that if they had let me see it ,

now the a/c went out on the way home, but it come on and worked for a week , i was sick and in out of the hospital for the next week ,after i was able to drive again, a/c quit again, took car back, they patched it,said it was low on freon, the next day it quit again , i took car back [on a friday now] i was told they needed to order a compresser and clutch, they couldnt find one, they would call me monday to update, i left monday after sitting here till 5 pm , i called thursday at 10;30 AM  was told it was going to cost me close to $600, after i raised cane, ploblem was passed on to salesman , i call the salesman, told him what the service dept told me,  he already knew i was having trouble with a/c since the day i brought the car, he said he would go talk to the service dept and call me back, i'm still waiting for that call, after i find another car at a honest dealer, frank myers auto ripoff can have their car back, along with thei $306 amonth and their 29% interest rate, i to am on disability

Dear dearold canady,

Thank you for your comments and you are correct...my customer did give me lots of details regarding his/her purchase. My apologies for not being more specific. I want to speak with the customer in order to get their name so I can pull their file. That will allow me to see when the vehicle was purchased, who originally performed the mechanical/safety inspection and what was found (if anything), what type of warranty the vehicle has/had, what steps (if any) were taken to assist this person by my Team, etc.

Finding out all of these things will allow me to assist the customer more efficiently and also allow me to train my Team to be better when this situation happens again.

first to your question about the a/c, what would have had happen if the a/c the gentleman said stop working on his way from the lot. but it came right on and work for a week before it went off again. let's just say he did what you suggested and took the car to a mechanic and the a/c was working at that time. so he paid the shop for the inspection and as soon as he left it stop working. what would that accomplish? another report on here about the mechanic?

i not going to waste my time on repeating myself again, because you are not going to get it.

"you know what if you PEOPLE would go after the car dealers like you do these poor people. you know what they the (dealers) might just start straighting up and stop taking people like this poor man on these ripoff rides"

There will continue to be unscrupulous merchants as long as there are naive consumers that ignore red flags and obvious signals of deception.

The customer was an apparent victim of bait-and-switch from the very beginning but he accepted that. He foolishly permitted a credit check for a vehicle he had not seen or test-driven. He signed every document they presented him with while he repeatedly requested to see the contract. He signed an agreement that committed him to purchase a vehicle at 50% above the agreed monthly payment amount at six times the agreed interest rate. If he had taken the car for a test-drive or paid a qualified mechanic to check out the car prior to purchase he would have known the A/C was not functioning properly.

You are correct that someone should "go after the car dealers" but the first step is for people to exercise some degree of common sense and not walk into a used auto dealership with a sign on their forehead that reads, I'm gullible and I'm here to be ripped off.

you know what if you PEOPLE would go after the car dealers like you do these poor people. you know what they the (dealers) might just start straighting up and stop taking people like this poor man on these ripoff rides, what makes me sick to my stomach is how you cannot have feeling for a man like this. did you not read were this man said he had a heart problem. how do you know how long he was there at the lot? what was the temp. that day?how many cars did this jerk try to show him? all these factures must come into play with this poor man's story.

hell no, you just want to run off at the mouth, i bet you proably would kick a man or woman when they were down. go after the f%#@ing dealers and not the sick and needed. and to answer your question since i take you never been to a car lot. they the salesperson fly the paperwork at you like it was the end of the world. they the saleperson should be in nevada being  card dealers. and again how do you know if this man was just to tired to really pay attention to these papers flying past him. one time in your life you need to show compassion to some of these story's. and not being a jerkoff, did this answering your question?

How did they do that?

How do they give you a contract to sign but not let you read it?  I know dealers are very sleazy but I don't know how they could physically do that.  Did they put something over all of the contract except the signature line or what?

Just curious.
