Complaint Review: Frank Setola - Cheryl Setola - Coverings And Installation

Frank Setola is a contractor scam artist. Police know of at least 4 families--Sullivans, Forzani, Feliz, Hurley. Total rip off = $400,000. Monmouth County Prosecutor's office has charged him and arrested him twice. All families will pursue civil law suits. Families feel raped. Feliz's house is in foreclosure.

He gets your trust & confidence by making you feel he is a family man. Loves them so much. Lies to you about his health. Brain tumor, surgeries, car accidents, other accidents. Wife works for Sea Girt Medical. He uses doctors names as references. His children play with doctor's children. He lives rents in an upscale communtiy. Rubs elbows with well to do people. Lies about his work.

We paid structural engineers to draw plans for the work that needed to be done. He made it up as he went along. Saying the engineers changed their minds.

He lied to the engineers. Said our home was condemned by borough. Told them he was helping us keep our home.

We were out of our house for 3 1/2 mo. He did more work than required and also demolished most of the rooms in our home unnecessarily. We fired him Jan. 24, 02. We're still fixing up after him.

Money is an issue. Our son left college to be with us. Husband and I are under doctor's care. I'm suffering from severe depression and anxiety. We were solvent before Setola. Husband is retired. I was planning to retire last June 2003. Don't know how much longer I will have to work now. The nightmare continues as Setola is a tenant in my childhood home. He doesn't pay the rent timely. He owes over $7,000 in back rent and late fees. He lied to his attorney. He filed fraudulent charges against us. Police Det. Coyle 732-449-1234 and county police Det.
