Complaint Review: Fred from Craigslist (fraudulent name)

SCAM #1 CASHER CHECK

1. Buyer sends you a cashier's check or money order, and when you get it, it will be a lot more than the item you are selling. 
2. After the check clears, the buyer will have you send the excess amount to the shipper via Western Union or wire transfe
3. A few days later you learn that the deposited money was fake. Then you are held responsible for the money, and there is no way to recover the sent money. 

I've been selling on Craigslist for some time now and started messing with the scammers. I have them OVERNIGHT or send the payment in a more expensive way than normal.  I  recently told them I spent the money because I was about to be homeless with my child. Then the scammer offered me a job! They wanted me to post an ad on Craigslist for a caregiver... I researched it.. another scam!!

SCAM #2 CAREGIVER SCAM

1. Posting scammer will look for caregiver of a relative because they are not local
2. They will give you details on payment, needs, etc. 
3. They will have you send a check for supplies after you've deposited a cashier's check like above with the same result.
