Complaint Review: Fred Joseph from Asset Searches Online

Fred Joseph from Asset Searches Online Took $175.00 and gave me 20 year old information, nothing current within 17 years. I confronted him and he got snotty with me on the phone stating that more information is coming but I have not seen anything in 3 weeks. Total rip off! Internet

Took 175.00 and did not provide updated information. He gave me information that was 20+ years old and claimed his system was better than any I could find out there. I wrote an email asking for either reimbursement or updated information that could be used. He got very aggressive on the phone when he called stating that this was just the first of the report and more would be coming. I have not received anything more from the man and its been 3 weeks. He is a rip off and I am still requesting my money or more information. I will call my bank and attempt to get my money back.

Just so you know this company has quite a reputation, and it’s not a good one. Honestly I’m surprised you ever started back into business after going to court so many times. I found more information on my own but was told that your system is so much better so you cannot think you did a good job. And yes there is information out there but none of the recent years are included in your unacceptable report. I will also be filing a police report on this fraudulent behavior as recommended by my bank.

Or There is Nothing to Find....

It's simple to run a trace and search for assets on anyone, and see whether there are hidden assets somewhere for you to be able to secure, whether those assets are owed to you, or not.  It does take time however, because the information isn't just in one place.  For example, if you were looking for money that was escheated to a state government, but I don't know which one, then each state has its own accounting for funds escheated to it, and multiple agencies that may hold the funds.  That's at least 50 different searches.  If the funds are hiding internationally, it could take forever.

I'm rather surprised anyone would do that for only $175.00 - I would expect the service to cost a great deal more than that - perhaps move the decimal point th the right at least one place.  BTW, your bank isn't going to be able to help you.  Even if you dispute the amount, you have an agreement with the company and the reports he gave you would be a part of the $175 fee, which he could produce.  You would never prevail in such a dispute.
