While shopping at Fred Myers my son slipped and fell down splitting open his chin. I filled out an incident report a few days later and returned it to Freddy's.

After two months went by and I was getting collection notices for the doctors bill I decided to call Fred Meyers,I was informed my that they had no claim file.

We'll to make a long story short because their employees decided to round file my incident report, So Fred Meyers thinks there is no liability on them. Is there a law against this? Fred Meyers should have to report any accidents shouldnt they??????

My Insurance is paying the bill but the collection went on my credit report.

I used to work for the Pocatello Fred Meyers. I was out shopping and my nephew got injured INSIDE the store due to employee neglect in playland. We filled out an incident report right there and took him up to the hospital. It has now been 8 months and we have YET to hear from the store about covering the medical bill from this.

When I worked there it was not uncommon for customers to get hurt, and it was not uncommon for the store to basically ignore it after the report has been filled out. If someone got hurt inside my house, I would be responsible for their medical, but apparently if someone got hurt inside their store, they are NOT responsible.

We have stopped shopping there since then, and discourage friends from shopping.
