My wife and I entered the debt settlement process with Richard Brennan and Associates in April of 2007, and in February of 2008 our account was transferred to the Frederick Law Group. We made 13 payments of $444/month and the money was to be deposited in an account with Global Client Solutions and held there until my accounts were settled, but in February of 2008 we received a check for the balance of our account and told that Global Client Solutions no longer takes deposits from Richard Brennan clients. Frederick Law Group then told us that they were opening an account for us at Bank of America with no fees. We never received a statement from Bank of America or Frederick Law Group. We were then served with a garnishment notice in July of 2008 and when I asked Dustin Harkness of the Frederick Law Group why, he stated the the first 12 payments went towards lawyer fees. When we set up our payments with Richard Brennan our lawyer fees were part of the $444/month. I asked Mr. Harkness for a statement on all of our account activity, and he would only tell me when the last time my creditors were contacted over the phone. Frederick Law Group didn't even have the record of payment under Richard Brennan. Richard Brennan and Frederick Law were associates at one point in time. My wages are now being garnished to the tune of $270/week!!!! We are now right back where we started. I feel that Richard Brennan & Frederick Law Group owe us $5800. They didn't do anything to earn the money we paid them. We've negotiated with our creditors to 50% of what we owe, so why should anyone pay them to do nothing?
