I had gotten a free credit report for my husband and myself. We have been working on correcting our credit score. I canceled the 30 day free trial before it was up on both accounts. However, this is the second month that I have been charged $14.95 even after talking to them (Free Credit Report.com = FCRC) last month and they said it was canceled.

Make sure you get a name when you call in to confirm that it was canceled. With a dispute denied from my bank (saying it was not refundable by the bank) and now there is the second month charge. I have again disputed it with my bank. FCRC says that it is the responsibility of the bank and the bank says it is the responsibility of FCRC to refund the money. That $30.00 could have been used in a much better way.

I signed up for FreeCreditReport.com in December and called to cancel the day before my free trial was over. I was worried that they would not cancel in time, but they did cancel without charging me.

I got a confirmation number over the phone and immediately received an email confirming my cancellation. You should have received both of those if the rep you talked to actually cancelled the account.

After seeing some of the reports about FreeCreditReport.com, I am guessing that I was one of the lucky few who got out without being charged.

Good luck- hope you get your $$ back.
