Free Spirit Jeans Offer Claims Another Victim! *REBUTTAL
Sad but true, I also bought into the scam. I ordered my jeans late in the game October 2001. I was told that they would arrive in December before Christmas. They promptly took the 10.95 from my bank account within days but NO JEANS EVER ARRIVED! I have not even received a postcard acknowledging my order.
I just went to their web site and they have this whole page on how customers are harrassing them over the internet and that we are the reason that the orders are being held up! Can you believe it! They also threaten that they will come after people for liable. Incredible!! They rip off people and then act angry because we dare to complain about it.
I pride myself on being a smart consumer and this deal seemed really legitimate. How can they justify taking money for shipping and handling jeans that are never sent? I'm glad that at least I only orderd one pair at 10.95 and not multiple pairs. I order many things over the internet and through the mail and this is the first time that I have been blatently RIPPED OFF!!
Oh, and Free Sprit, please do not send another form letter in rebuttal to this posting. It only irritates more than it helps.

To date we have shipped well over 20,000 pairs
of free jeans.
When we contacted the customer by mail,
that was to let them know that we received
their order. The mailing also confirms and
checks for the correct mailing address.
We are glad they received the notification.
The regular retail for the jeans is
$56 plus shipping and handling ($10.95).
The regular retail for the shirts ranges
from $32 to $36 plus shipping and
handling ($6.95 S&H). Full price orders
ship the same day. Free Spirit Fashion
Jean Free Jean Giveaway orders take
longer than a regular full price order.
Please note: shipping and handling
for the Free Jean Giveaway begins as
soon as the customers submits the order.
If they placed an order for free
jeans or shirts, the fee paid
is for the shipping and handling.
We have had some manufacturing
delays in the past which has
caused free jean orders to be late.
We are currently making arrangements
to manufacture more styles
We were hoping to have backorders shipped
by August but due to the overload
we were not able to. We are working
very hard to get all free jeans orders shipped.
Our goal is to make sure everyone gets
