Complaint Review: Freebeegas.com

Just a warning to read the fine print before getting involved with any of these type of free-bees.

I received the "Free Gas" voucher after leasing a new Ford from a local dealership. They didn't say that it wasn't like they were giving me a credit card loaded with money.

Heres the deal. You have to register with the freegass.com site and pay $5.00 for who-knows what? And then after picking a single gas brand (Mobil, BP, Sunoco, etc.) you only buy gas from them. Collect all your receipts up to $100 in a month (thats the limit), photocopy and send them to freebeegas, and within 28 days you will receive a $25 gas card that is to be used at the gas company that you chosed before. One $25 gas card per month - supported with $100 in receipts.

I received a $500 voucher from the dealer. Meaning I have to commit to buy at least $100 of gas (not a problem these days), copy the receipts, mail them in, and do this over and over again for 20 months?!?!?!? (20 x $25 = $500).

So while it may be free, is it worth the hassle? Perhaps. Just be aware.
