Freebiegas.com And Glassman Automotive Group Offered $500 in gas to "sweeten" the deal into buying a Saab 9-3 Southfield Michigan
Last June (2008) I purchased a 2005 Saab 9-3 from Glassman Automotive Group. I was going to walk away from the car but as a closer to sweeten the dealer, the salesman said he could get me a $500 gift card for free gas. I ended up buying the car and about 2 months later, I received information on how to get the free gas.
The company (freebiegas.com), out of Largo, FL, had me pay a small initiation fee and not until about 2 months later did I actually receive my coupons that I would send each month with $100 in gas purchases to receive $25 back. Notice, I was originally told it would be a $500 gas card... not some program were I have to send in receipts every month.
So now, here I am a year later of purchasing the car and I have yet to receivce any type of gas card. From what I can see on other peoples reports, I am not alone in getting scammed here.
What really blows my mind is that a large reputable dealership would endorse such a giveaway. I'll be calling them and yes, willing to have my case involved in a class action lawsuit if they do not make good on this promise.
