freecreditreport.com Triple Advantage Cic FRAUD ALERT! Irvine California
Be very careful when going to their site and getting your free credit report. According to their customer service customers that goes there and get the advertised "FREE" credit reports are forced to enroll in their credit monitoring that will cost you $12.95 per month. Mind you, I went through this and they refused to refund my money saying that I had agreed to their terms when I get my report, even though I paid for the 2 additional reports!
These pigs are misleading people big time and no wonder they can afford to advertise to TV ALL the time with catchy songs! Not only are they knowingly misleading but they also have multiple web sites with different addresses and operating under different company names.
When I went and file BBB report I was presented with triple advantage, free credit reports, Triple Advantage Credit Monitoring, Consumerinfo.com
On my credit card, it appears as :CIC*TRIPLE ADVANTAGEIRVINE CA
877-481-6825
A quick search on the google shows that there are thousands of people that had the same experience. Why is this company still allowed to exist? Why isn't feds taking it down???

I too experienced issues with tthis company who is an OUTSIDE HIRE from Experian. I called several times to cancel my wife's and my "subscription" but they continued to charge. I asked to speak to supervisors and they refused unless I gave my SSN#. I was hung up on and denied access to my account. Then I finally CLOSED MY BANK ACCOUNT. I though that fixed it but guess what? More charges. I think I finally resolved the issue when I called my bank and said, "If you guys allow one more charge on my account from these guys... I will...". With that said, please don't support shady business practices.

The whole idea behind "free credit report" is a scam. Right there, that's false advertising, and misleading content regarding the services.
I signed up with Freecreditreport.com to get a "so-called" Free Credit report, and I didn't get ANYTHING! I also canceled with triple advantage before the criminals could bill me.
It was really easy for me to cancel, however. But even though I put my CC # Into their system, I didn't get a FREE Credit report either. I called their customer service line, and they said it could take up to 15-30 days before I could get the "so-called" free credit report. What a scam! They want to charge me before they give it to me! How ridiculous. I think it's even more ridiculous that a bank, or a car dealership has MORE ACCESS TO MY CREDIT THAN I DO!
Your responses to these are outrageous, and you people are defending these scammers, and keeping them in business. You should be ashamed of yourself.
They hide the fine print, and do their best to make it as unclear as possible in their advertisements. "free credit report offer applies with enrollment to triple advantage."
THEY DON'T SAY THAT THEY CHARGE YOU! The Fees should be UP FRONT, and RIGHT THERE. No they are not, and due to politics and attorneys who protect criminals, they'll stay in business taking millions from people unaware of their scam.
I'm disappointed in you guys.

There is no ripoff regarding freecreditreport.com. People simply do not read the terms.

I find it amazing every time I read on RR a complaint that someone was ripped off by freecreditreport.com. Why should any financial company give away thousands of dollars of credit reports from all three credit bureaus for free without something in return. If you don't want to pay for the $14.95 per month subscription, then just cancel the subscription. Give me a break.
The information below is on the first page of the company website.

It was your failure to pay attention when you requested the report that you failed to realize what exactly you were signing up for.
You complained about the commercials - those same commercials that disclose you are signing up for their service to receive your "Free Credit Report" - next time you see it -look for the disclosure.
If you had paid attention at all, you would have known this was also signing up for their credit monitoring service.

These services aren't intended to be 'free'. Companies don't make money by giving away things. The terms of the service are always clearly illustrated.
There would of been no reason for you to purchase reports. You are entitled to a free report from each of the agencies every year. After those free reports are used up, you have to pay.
These triple things are ran by the actual credit agencies, it's not an outside company doing it, do a little research on the companies.
