I received a letter in the mail from U.S. Homeland Registry announcing I won the grand prize in the Million Dollar U.S. Homeland Draw! Total amount to be claimed after taxes: $843,000. The U.S. Homeland Registry would make all necessary arrangements in order for me to receive my prize. Enclosed was a check for $4885.00 to cover all extra fees due and the instruction to call the representative before depositing the check and for further information on the prize. Representative was Mr. Ruben Graham at 1-800-731-6401, ext #1; Internal revenue agent handling the file was Mr. Joseph Bradford at 1-204-952-3950.

The letter also included a ID serial ballot number and statement that by U.S. Federal law this number and prize were to be kept highly confidential for safety and security purposes. The letter was signed by Dorothy Porter, Chief Financial Officer.
Nice letter. Authentic looking check - which would have come in very handy, too!

I did go on line and tried to find U.S. Homeland Registry - of course without any luck. I then typed in Freedom Acceptance Corporation - and ended up on your site. I even located Community Bank of Texas - but the address on the check did not appear on their web site.
I was tempted to deposit the check - but did not know if, when the check bounced (most likely), they still would get any of my bank/personal information, so I decided to turn it in at the bank to let them deal with it. I also plan to contact Community Bank of Texas and alert them.
