Try WI Attorney General

#2Consumer Suggestion

Tue, October 12, 2004

Sometimes the state's attorney general's office and/or the district attorney, will go after contractors who take money but don't do all the work. If you can show a pattern of fraud, you may have a better chance. Our state's AG has gone after contractors for relatively small potatoes but leaves home owners who've had much greaters losses to twist in the wind...go figure. But you should try any state agency that deals in fraud, consumer complaints, and contractors...if you get even one place to help you, that's something. Thanks for the warning by the way...i have many friends and relatives in WI who'd like to know this kind of thing!
