Freedom pop and Woot Freedom pop ripped me off Internet
I responded to an offer from Woot to buy a cell phone and have a limited amount of minutes, texts and internet from freedom pop For free. Too good to be true, should have been my first clue. Freedom pop sent me a Samsung phone but when I called to activate it, they said they couldn't activate it. Second clue. They talked me in to spending another hundred bucks on a phone, but as I was only planning on using it for emergencies and texts, I thought I would make it up as the monthly fee was so low.
Now, when it is turned on the darned thing it says SIM card damaged. I called to cancel and since the phone is over a month old they cannot accept the phone back, despite having paid for the extended warranty. They offered to give me technical support but I am done. I'm sitting here with 2 phones from them that don't work and a couple of hundred dollars poorer.
This Granny is not going to pay for cell service I can't use because I've got 2 defective phones. Buyer beware.
