Freedom Pop Bait and Switch, Fraud - Refusal to return Security Deposit on Device Los Angeles California
Just like another user that posted in December, I have also filed a BBB report, as shown below:
FreedomPop
11301 W Olympic Blvd #112 Los Angeles CA 900641652
Complaint Description:
I signed up with Freedom pop in October 2012 when they first debuted. The terms and conditions at the time, promised to refund a security deposit of $99 once the Wimax device was returned in good working condition. Since that time, I have used FreedomPop only occasionally. I recently moved to an area without FreedomPop coverage, and upon calling to get an RMA to return my device, was informed that they would not refund the deposit. I spoke with two agents that stated that they had changed their terms and conditions, which resulted in me no longer being eligible for a refund. This is preposterous, as I received no notification of this change in their terms and conditions. Complete bait and switch, what a scam. I was only able to talk to agents in their Phillipines call center, and after asking to be transferred to a manager again, they acted like they couldnt hear me and ended the call. What a Shady company.
Your Desired Resolution:
$99 security deposit returned for device in working order.
