I was home sick and recieved a phone call from a company named Freedom Resouce Co and the person who called was named Dillion # 2174. He said that I had applied for credit and since my credit report was good, I would receive a visa/master credit card by mail in ten days but first he had to get some information from me, he got my name, address, employeer and bank information. He said that I will receive some free items in a package after they draw from my accout.

They ask when my direct deposit will be posted to my account, I gave them all the information they requested, then they transfered me to another person who verified all information was correct, this person put me on recording and went over all terms with me and ask me to answer clearly with a yes or no, after going over the terms, I changed my mind and told the person going over the terms with me that Christmas was coming and I need the money which was $221.95 for Christmas gifts for my 3 children, the phone just went dead and then there was a busy tone.

I tried using the *69 to get the company back on line but number could not be given. I think I got ripped off, but I contacted my bank and told them what happened and gave them details to my conversation with the company. I feel cheated and stupid.

Want to advise your bank that they go by Lenox Capital and FRI when debiting - just in case they try it. If they said anything about long distance calling look for them to pass your information to acompany called OneRate.com. They might try billing you for 49.95 - it gets listed as "communications" on the ACH (would need to check exact details). If they do take money file an affidavit under the unauthorized withdrawl category. (If they cold-called you they need written authority to make it a good transaction.) If they take the money - get it back and get your bank to file a complaint too. The people who implement the ACH system are getting a shade crabby about this sort of outfit......
