Complaint Review: Freedom Resource

My husband's account was drafted of $221.95, being promised a credit card. We were going to use this for Christmas shopping in December of 2002. This company drafted the account on August 13th of 2002. To this day (it is 2004) we have never received the card or the money back. We were told that we would need to send an additional $20.00. We were also promised a refund that would take 60 days after we cancelled our agreement. Our request was never satisfied.

Companies like these prey on those who have less than perfect credit. This is not fair and we feel it would be more costly to sue than to just take this as a learned lesson. But if there is any hope in getting even some of our money back that would be a blessing. I have learned my lesson however to always check with the better business bureau. If anyone has resolved any of their matters please help!
