Complaint Review: Freedom Resource

To begin with they called and said that I was recently approved for a credit card and wanted to up date the information. The girl that I spoke too said that I would receive a credit card with a limit of $2500.00 for a one time fee of $221.95. The card would be delivered in 15-21 days. SO I gave my bank account and waited for the card to arrive. The funds were taken from the account very quickly like in 2 days time, so I thought that the card was going to arrive just as quick-NO WAY!!!!

I waited for nearly a month before I decided to call and find out what was going on seeing that they had my money,well when I called I was put on hold for anywhere between 15-45 minutes that first time and was told that everything was going and that the card was arriving any day now. Fine.

About 3 weeks later after not receiveing anything I phoned again, another 15-45 minute wait- this time there was trouble with the shipping and things were behind but it was going out either on Friday or Tuesday (I phoned on a Thursday) but she couldn't tell me exactly which day. Fine.

Another week goes by and again I phone- another wait-only to be told that it still hadn't left their office-well I got mad and wanted a refund that day- that was when I was told that it would take anywhere between 60-90 days for a refund and that I would have to have a special form to send in, which they did send to me(in like 4 days) If I got that so fast what was the hold up on the card????

I send the form in to them on Oct. 19/02 and still have not heard a word from it!!!! On the many holds that I was on they claimed to be a "family owned business" well all I can say to that "family" is I hope that you spend alot of time in jail for ripping people off!!!!!!!!!

As of todays date Nov.5/02- I am still out $221.95 and have finally got to the point that I know it is gone and there isn't much I can do about it now. Sure hope that they had fun with it and that with any luck they will get it in the end!!!!
