Complaint Review: Freedom Resources

I have come to find out that unfortunately I am not the only one who has been taken advantage of... I recieved a call one night many months ago. The individual; used loosely; proceeded to convince me that I could recieve a credit card for bill consolidation. This Visa/Master Card would be issued from a local bank in my area for the purpose of re-establishing or re-building credit or debt consolidation. I was recently divorced and was recovering from my wifes poor money handling and over spending. So, it came at a good time for consolidation.

I like others were told that I would recieve a packet in the mail within 10 to 15 business days. I waited and soon began my numerous phone calls to this organization. This went on for about 3-4 months of promises and lies and deciet. I would never recieve this packet.

I finally called and requested my money refunded. After about 2 weeks I recieved a form in the mail to get my money back. They had the arrogance to state on this form that they would keep $24.95 to process my refund. I then called to talk with the company and the truth came out. The card was never a Master Card/Visa from a local bank that was explained to me, but a card to buy for select vendors with out a line of credit. Pay as you go situation. Complete and utter B.S.

I have sent in my form for refund with a all but threatening letter... Please be careful out there. There are liars, cheats, and completely unethical... And Freedom Resources is a perfect example...
