Complaint Review: FREEDOM VANLINES

JAN 30,2009 my family moved from Willls Point Tx to Conroe Tx, long drive one move is what we wanted, no instd we got a company who showed up at 1020, supposed to of been there between 8-10. 3 guys showed up with a 26foot truck to move a 3000sq ft home, 3 car garage and workshed.

So they start loading and after i buy them all hamburgers(thought they might be hungry)they tell me at 1PM that we are gonna need another truck, so i called the manager tom and he said he would send me another truck at 550 plus gas,milage at 65hr cause i can have a discount because of the inconvience of not having a big enough truck, your kidding right?

we finally are done at 4pm, and as we are leaving i notice none of our food from frigerator/freezer is loaded but sitting in a box in the kitchen along with the microwave, glass table tops propped up against cabinets and marble slates to tables laying on fireplace hearths..so how do you use ables without tops and where are all these blankets you get??? (I have pics for all those interested in their fine workmanship.)

we get to conroe, after leaving all this stuff,plus more,start to unload and they want their money,fine..was supposed to be 816.00 for 9 hrs and then 85hr after.understood.We went over 4 hrs so do the math and that is over 1100 not according to tom, tom the manager says we have to also pay gas and travel be k to dallas, wow so it must cost several hundred in fuel which i already paid and then pay for them to go back, wonder why donna never told me of this rip off. so we had to pay 1409 for the move, they broke a vase, left all my food, scratched furniture,tom told them not to unload truck tiil it was paid.we paid cause i called police and they told me to pay it not to mention i had to pay cause i had 2 small children with me.

all was unloaded and so sat jan 31 we rented another truck through budget and had to drive back to wp load it come back to conroe and unload it and i still have christmas stuff to go back and get but who needs memories and collectables right??

They are a sorry sorry company and i wouldnt recommend them to anyone.I have notifed bbb and saul garza on fox 4 and i am hoping to recieve my money and time and trouble back so if anyone wants to come forward with me please let me know so hopefully we can save the next trusting consumer before they get ripped off..

When mover Loius was asked at the end of our move,"do you guys ever get complaints" and he stated,"yeah alot."that should tell you something
