If you search for structured settlements on the Internet you are bound to see sites that say something like this

More info about (insert search term or legitimate business) in (name of state) Details about (insert search term or legitimate business) in (name of state)

Clicking on the search result doesn't lead you  to the term you were looking for. Instead you are re-directed to Freedom1stFunding.com. Freedom1stFunding.com is a ghost, a domain name is privately registered in Nobby Beach Australia and the Whois states no mail accepted. The wbeiste has no address or phone number. It is generally not a good idea to submit any information to such companies because it may very well be a phishing scam.

Instead of being able to compete fairly in the open, these folks operate in the shadows. I wouldn't trust them with my money.

A similar re-direct scheme is the subject of two lawsuits in the state of Maryland against a company called Sovereign Funding Group and its CEO David Springer, of Mount Airy, MD.  A copy of the complaint filed in the Maryland District lawsuit and other case updates can be found on PACER (dot) org. It is not known yet that the two re-direct schemes are connected.
