FreedomPop Attempted to Charge Me for a "Free" MiFi Internet
I saw a special offer for FreedomPop. On the FreedomPop site, it stated that I would recive a free trial of the 6 GB plan, plus a MiFi with free shipping and I would pay nothing today. It did request my credit/debit card number for the account, but stated that it would not be anything charged today. Once I hit submit, it stated my card was not authrized and then it changed what I would get and asked me to reenter my card.
The second time around, it had changed to the free trial for the 2 GB plan, but it still was giving me the free MiFi with free shipping, and nothing due today. Once again I entered my card and recived the same message. I soon found out my my car d was never authroized.
I was using a card that I keep little/no money on it and they were charging me $49.99 for the device, despite them stating that I was not being charged.
