FreedomPOP Complaint

I ordered a phone advertised as being worth $200 USD. I received a phone that would not work AND the power charger blew sparks out of my wall (hence the word "POP" in FreedomPOP). I'm lucky I wasn't electrocuted. (A women in Australia wasn't so lucky--her charger which came from another phone company--did the same thing and killed her.)

After many, many hours and three separate complaints to the FCC (USA), they finally said they would refund my money. They lied and said they had done things they never did, including supposedly sending me a free return shipping label. Nope. never happened.

IF YOU WANT TO GET RID OF THESE FRAUDS:  File a consumer complaint with the FCC. The cell companies are regulated and by law, they HAVE to respond to the FCC within 30 days. Also, if the FCC gets enough complaints, it can take serious action against these criminals.

FreedomPOP is the worst company I've ever encountered (and that's saying something considering all the fraudulent cell-phone companies out there.)

Complaining in forums like this is good--but it doesn't force FreedomPop out into the light of day where their criminal behavior can be seen for what it is by the regulatory agencies.
