I've been working through freelance.com for a while and this is the second time my account gets suspended. They first suspended my account when a project has been awarded to me and they withdrawn funds from my account immediately without waiting for them to be transferred by the client (who, in fact, was suspended by them for no reason and simply couldn't send the money to me through their website!!!)

This time, when I asked them for withdrawal of the money I've earned, they simply suspended me with no prior notice of their action. When I sent them a request for explanations, they just quoted me this:

"Freelancer.com is not a money exchange site. Fund transfers from one Freelancer.com account to another should be in payment for services received or refunds of said payments, etc. Likewise we do not allow deposit via one payment service (e.g. Paypal), followed by a withdrawal via another (e.g. Moneybookers). Fund transfers that violate Freelancer.com's terms and conditions may be reversed."

Of course, I do understand their terms, but they are not applicable to my case, since all the money had been transferred within the project. When I asked them for further explanations, they simply got silent. It's a really frustrating experience and I don't recommend anyone to deal with them.

By the way, we still work with the client I've mentioned above, but due to such an odd behavior of freelancer.com staff (their suspensions with giving no explanations or enough support) has lead us to using another source - odesk.com. I've worked with them much longer and had no even the smallest hint of such inexplainable actions like the ones done by freelancer.com
