freelancer.com steal money, suspend account, lock up money Sydney New South Wales

Freelancer.com stole close to $100 out of my account - do not use. Use elance or odesk.com instead. 

I signed up for freelancer.com first as a project manager. Everything was fine, they do not have a problem taking your money. Then I wanted to post ads as a freelancer, too. In order to see how the system worked, I started a sample project with another account to see how much I would get paid at the end: BIG MISTAKE. 

Freelancer.com stole the entire balance out of my account and asked for ridiculous requirements such as a selfie with my ID in it, all sorts of personal information and a utility bill with my name on it. I provided all of this. Then, nothing was good enough: The utility bill was not in color even in the original and they kept asking for a color copy... 

Since the utility company only has my wife's name registered, I had been contacting them, but it takes two billing cycle to take effect. 

Freelancer.com did not feel like waiting and stole my account by suspending my account. BE WARNED. DO NOT EVER USE THIS COMPANY. They will find a ridiculous reason to suspend your account and then no verification is good enough. Of course, they only want to steal your money, there is no way for you to get it back. 

I will now be filing a police report with all applicable authorities.
