Complaint Review: Freeman Roofing and Construction

I met with Nate and agreed to a 50% split on the profits on all jobs I sold.  We didn't sign a contract, but that's ok in the state of Texas a verbal agreement suffices.  I sold some roofing jobs from the hail damage.  He would pay me cash here and there ande ultimately paid me $2,600.  He owes me $4,000 more.  I've worked for several other roofing companies and I've ordered material and negoiated crews.  I know the numbers through and through.  He tried telling me that I was off on my numbers.  He started changing his tune with me when he found out that I knew what his crew leader was charging him.  He decided that he wasn't going to pay me what he owed me.  This is another example of someone saying they'll do something, and then they don't do what's right when it's time to pay up.  He also did this to another person.  It's my understanding that the amount in question wasn't anywhere near $4,000, but you can see there's a pattern.  I should have known that someone (((VIOLATES TOS))) just simply couldn't be trusted.  What goes around, comes around.  I wish him all the luck in the world.
