I signed up to 2 websites one called xbox360s.freepay.com and the other called giftcards.freepay.com which are both part of freepay.com a company that runs a referral service which is you have to sign up, complete a sponsered offer, then get a certain amount of friends to join via your referral link then they sent you a free gift ( mine being a xbox360 on one and a giftcard on the other site.)

Well i've complete both of these websites and am still waiting for either of my gifts. i Completed the websites on the following dates:

xbox360s.freepay.com - Completed - 6/13/2006 3:04:00 PM
giftcards.freepay.com - Completed - 5/16/2006 3:56:00 AM

when you finish referring the certain amount of users you need to get your free gift you have to place a order via your acccount. i placed my order on the dates above. once you've placed a order, your account changes to "processing" and says:

"We are currently working on processing your order information and sending it to our vendor. This process usually takes about 7-10 business days."

Well it's been over a month on my giftcards account and slighty less on my xbox360s account. I've completed my side of the bargain why dont they complete theirs.

I've sent numerous support tickets to customer services and all i recieve is replies like :

"We are sorry for the delay. We will ship a gift card to you as fast as we can. Thank you for your extreme patience."

hundreds have people have reported this company to BBB.com better business bureau and have recieved letters of apologie from the comapny but since i was a member outside the USA i thought i better find a outside side websites like this one.

I hope someone can help i can't wait forever for my free gift.

Read Fine Print!

#2Consumer Suggestion

Mon, March 12, 2007

I don't know about those sites but I've visited a few siimlar sites and I wish everyone would read the fine print on those sites. It's basically a books worth of Terms of Service and liabilities by the company and I've read a few on a couple sites that made me activally not want to even try.

A few of those sites will have in the fine print in the libility and terms of service information.

"If prize is unavailable due to being out of stock no replacement price will be given" or something to that effect.

Which means, if they no longer own any Xbox's/giftcards to give away then you won't get ANYTHING for your hard work of following their redemtion insturtions and joining various different sites and paying for different products to be able to qualify.

IT doesn't sound fair and it isn't. You'll find most of these sites also have similar clauses. So when the time comes and push comes to shove and you demand what they promised or if you take them to court they can point to the terms of service, which most people don't even glance at for 3 seconds, and say "We don't have anymore and we notified all vistors to our site that once all rewards have been given away that no more rewards will be offered in that contest"

(Although morally and legally one can ask why they keep up a site if all the products have been given away and who is to say "WHEN" all the products have been given away and everyone else who tries won't get anything. I think this is done so they can continue getting money from you via refferals to other sites with you believing you might still be able to get something from them.)
