On Nov. 8, 2008 we ordered a Windmaster 24 Volt System wind turbine through www.freetricity.com, and paid $1,956, via Google Checkout.

On Nov. 10, we contacted Carl for the first time to find out when the unit would be shipped. We found it odd that he was the only one who seemed to answer the phones. After playing phone tag for a couple of days he gave us the excuse that he was waiting to get a shipment with the latest/updated model and wanted to make sure we got that one.

Finally, after calling another 17 times just in Nov. (we have the phone records to prove it), we received a message and an e-mail with a tracking number on Nov. 25. Carl said the delivery date was Dec. 3rd. Every time we checked the delivery status online with the tracking number it would only show that Fed Ex had been electronically notified of the shipment, and not surprisingly, it never arrived. We called again on Dec. 4 and Carl insisted he had dropped the unit off to be shipped. He called us later that same day saying that Fed Ex had never picked up the item, that he was going to send it out the next day, and that he would call us back with the new tracking number.

That was the last time we heard from him despite several calls and warnings of legal repercussions.
