Bought wrought iron fence from Richie Bros, Austin, TX. Pick up and delivery scheduled by Freight Pros...through Souteastern freight Lines. Price was $455.00 quoted and a fee for servic, total $480.00. Product was decimated in shipping process, yet Freight Pros demanded, not only the original amount, but an overage of $704.90, totalling $1184.90. Freight pros indicated it is the buyerss responsibility to know the size of the load, and weight. We attempted to get that information from the seller, Richie Bros and we could only get the dimensions of the product being shipped. At no time did anyone from Frieght Pros get the correct information, but it was not weighed until the time it got to Atlanta, GA.

Long after pick up and scheduled delivery to Wilmington, NC. Then frieght Pros subsequently billed the original credit care for a disounted amount of $269.00 for the overage, for a toal of $704.00, when the product was so damaged, it was "unusable" for its intended purpose. The panels were all bent, pickets were broken, posts were bent-scratched-paint peeling, even the packaging made of steel was twisted and bent. Now, after 4 months of waiting and wrangling with 5 parties, and the insurer, we have to start all over. I still do not have a fence. Freight Pros is a bad deal.

Third parties are doing serious damage to consumers, when you cannot get to the responsible person. Everyone gets paid and consumers get "planked"...We consumers are left to fend for ourselves and spent endless hours documenting things and attempting resoulution, when we did nothing wrong. This situation has devolved into something that should never be allowed. When you pay for something in "good faith"...it should be recived in good condition or replaced, no questions asked. Caveat Emptor folks. Lots of cheaters out here! FYI: I have asked repeatedly for a recipt from Frieght Pros for the payment to Southeastern frieght lines...guess what, they won't provide it. Someone is lying and defrauding us.
