The Friend of the Court owes me money from the past from when I was laid off from Chrysler. To me that is considered double dipping, when they take from your unemployment check and your sub pay. The things is no body there seems to know where the money is at.

It's my idea that this money is going into someone's pocket at the Friend of the Court. Me and my Ex and friendly with each other and help each out when we need it. There was a time when they took my profit sharing checks and sent them to my Ex. At that time we weren't getting along and she spent the money, so the friend of the court tells me that I have to Sue my Ex to get the money back. I was Not in arearages and never have been!!

I talked to a woman at the friend of the court about the profit sharing checks that had been taken from me (and we are talking about over 10,000 dollars). Anyway, she tells me I need to get an attorney and Sue her. I told the woman I could not afford an attorney again because it broke me going through the divorce. This woman's reply was that if I couldn't afford an attorney that I should go to the Library, study the law books and come back when I think it all.

That's the respect that I get for taking care of my children and never being in arearages!!!

My main problem right now is I was laid of on Monday the 12th 2004. I am worried that they are going to "double dip" again and this would set me back finacially since I just got off a 3 week medical in June. I am going for surgery this month and things are really going to be tight. I have my children every weekend and whenever I'm off work they stay with me.

Please, I just need to quit this "double dipping"!!! Either take from my unemployment or take from the sub pay, But Not Both!

I love my son's with all my heart and they have been always taken care of by their Daddy!!! Because of this situation, they can be deprived of some activities that they so much deserve!!! Such as sports or other activities.

I know my money is somewhere, or in someone's pocket at the Friend of the Court!

One last thing, Quit disrespecting the men that come in there. It's a shame that so many men are looked down upon because a some Dead-Beat Dad's. Go after them, not me or any of the other father's that are there for thier kids.

I will do whatever it takes to get this matter taken care of!!!!!!!!

God Bless

Are You Caught Up

#2Consumer Suggestion

Sun, August 01, 2004

Are you current with your arrearages? If not, then the FOC can take from any source of income. This means that they can take from unemployement and sub-pay... Or if you had a second job, they can take from your primary job and your second job, if you are behind.

If you are not behind in support, you need to call the automatic phone system to be sure, then you can request that the FOC send a termination to the unemployement agency.

Send an email to them at FOC-Help@3cc.co.wayne.mi.us

Hope it helps!
