Beware of AdultFriendFinder.com, it has to be one of the biggest SCAMS on the internet. The claim to have 5 million members. Problem is that if you sign up and respond to the ads, you will begin to see the same email responses from all of the emails. Beware the "wink, wink", email scam, and the " I don't want my co-workers" scam script appearing over-and-over. I really don't think anyone is for real on the site, except the guys. This type of scam needs to be stopped if you have seen this scam, report what you have seen.

D: I'm a real chick on AFF.

Max: You say "I have met a few 'real' women via AFF." Then you say "These are not genteel ladies on AFF. They are sluts. They should expect to be treated accordingly." And therein, I think, lies the real reason for your failure to score on this site, apart from with the flakes and weirdos. Most of us normal women can intuit very quickly whether a guy is genuinely nice or whether he just views us as sluts who he holds in contempt but is willing to spin a slick line to in order to get some action.

I was an active member of AFF from late 2005 till late 2007. I went to a few Meet&Greet parties around the UK and met loads of other 'real' people, I dated one guy seriously and two guys casually. I hooked up with three more guys for no strings sex. Of these six lovely chaps, two are now good friends and I do my best to catch up with one more for a drink whenever he is in town. Just a drink, mind you, as I'm now happily dating a guy I met elsewhere. A 'fat old dude' who just so happens to be a fabulous guy!

The site does not guarantee to get you laid on a regular basis, it simply allows you access to other people who have also joined the site. After that, the usual rules of social interaction apply. If a chap is ignored by every single chick he contacts then I'd say his approach must be at fault somewhere. IMO.

And no, I'm not a paid employee of the site. Just one of the REAL people there.

I'm a former member of AFF. I know for sure that there are real women on the site. I dated a very well known member, and corresponded with the "former" owner/CEO Andrew Conrue. There were some email phishing bots on the site, but many people there are genuine. The nature of the site lends itself to scams so I recommend you carefully scrutinize the people you contact. There were technical problems with the website, but I recieved free months of membership, and upgrades for compensation. The company changed hands some months ago, so I don't know how it is now, but I have seen more agressive marketing.

I've been a AFF member for 4 years. I am a real woman, 50+ yrs old, with a college degree, a professional job and a lust for life that is not being filled at home. I have several girlfriends who are also AFF members.

I have met some very nice, local men on AFF and have had an ongoing 3 yr. affair with one of them.

My advice to anyone considering using Adult Friendfinder is this... think before you post a photo. Take your time and make sure you get to know who you are talking to - before you go to meet them. Use some caution. Use some discretion! Buyer beware!

I get dozens of emails from men who are desperate to jump into bed with anyone who will reply. I won't reply to them. I have married guys send face shots - duh... you don't even know me yet and you trust me on the first email? If you are that indiscreet, why should I trust you to keep our affair a secret? Oh, and I hate getting pictures of someone's anatomy, I won't reply to those either.

To those men who have complained that they didn't meet any real women, I'm sorry you feel that way. Obviously you had unrealistic expectations or you did one of the No No's I mentioned in the previous paragraph.

I know you have probably heard this before with " I had a friend...." But one of my best friends who actually referred me to Adult Friend Finder, had several relationships and dates come about due to his membership w/ Adult Friend Finder. One of the relationships actually became long-term.
He did however have a paid membership, but it was not a Gold or high dollar membership, it was a silver membership. Which basically allows you to email and reply to email and get notices about who has looked at your profile.
So, for my friend at least, AFF was a success.

Unethical business practices used by AFF.

Interestingly enough I had been scanning through some of the pictures on AFF the other day I noticed the oddest thing. When I was younger I met this girl, off the internet, she sent me a picture which was very attractive (a model). I met up with this girl and it turned out not be her at all and she had completely lied to me about the picture, this was about 5 years ago. i scanned through the pictures on AFF I noticed the exact same picture that the girl sent me, being a so called member of that site.

Now is this a coincidence? Did she steal that picture off adult friend finder? Is there such a girl on adult friend finder? I find it highly unlikely as one of my compadres happened to email me a web address of most commonly used fake pictures and that picture so happened to be on the site. I have never been a member of AFF, I get action on my own, therefore my opinion is completely unbiased. I believe that the poor business practices used by AFF soliciting fraudulent pictures to extort desperate people would be a good example of undue influence.

AFF Suggestion

Been a paid member of AFF for year but decided to cancel after my year was up since it wasn't working for me the way I want it to. Here is my conclusion about this site.

AFF in itself is not a scam. It is an online business module based off the club scene. IF you can get enough hot girls into a club, ton of men will show up pay up their ying yang to get in and meet these girls. I used to be a promoter for the clubs in LA and we used to hired models to come in as customers to generate male business. Since AFF the business module is not a scam it is very difficult to shut it down since there are no way for the DA to prove that AFF put up the "fake" profiles and just because pay customers are not getting response from other members it doesn't make it a scam in a court of law.

I have found some real women (like 1 in a 1000) on this site but most of them are the below average type. The real hot one are usually fake especially if they e-mail you first. This is how I spotted them, if the picture look like if was done by a professinal with photoshop touch up to remove all the blemishes, they are fake. Just enjoy the pictures and move on. (the models we used to hire will always tell the male patron that they are lesbians when some one approach them, get the idea). a girl with a hot profile will give you her msn user name so you can contact them, Fake. If it look like a professional then it is a professional. If you really want to get hook up on AFF you need to get in contact with the girls without picture or the plan Janes in the site. You will be suprise how many real contacts you will received compared to the hot ones once you signed up.

There are still some questionable practices in AFF's business but if you do decided to join the site just keep in mind that it is a very interesting site but don't get you hope up in meeting hot girls that will have sex with you here.

Dear Nick:

I understand the difference between male sexual response and female sexual response. That is why I posted decent photos of myself. I was always a gentleman when I emailed women. I made it clear I was interested in sexual liasons, otherwise I would be on ChristianFriendFinder or something, but I didn't use s**t remarks.

DOUBLE STANDARD:
"Eight inches or longer! Little d*cks go away!!!" That was a typical, not an exceptional, statement on a female profile. So, a guy's not supposed to send a pic of his package and tell her what he can do to her with it? Come on! I read a lot of female profiles from women who wanted to be beaten and raped. These are not genteel ladies on AFF. They are sluts. They should expect to be treated accordingly.
I am suspcious, sir, that you have been paid off by FriendFinder to say what you have said. Can't prove it, so I shall leave it at that.
With all due respect to Nick, gentleman, I advise you to be wary of his testimonial. It does no comport with the dozens of others I have read here and elsewhere from men who have lost time and money with AFF.

Member of the Adultfriendfinder site for close to 10 years

#18Consumer Comment

Sun, October 29, 2006

I have been a member of AdultFriendFinder web site for close to 10 years and can tell you that the majority of members on the site are actual real members, including the females.

I have met 100's of members face to face of the site at greet and meets that are organized by the members. I have known many members that have found their significant other or have gotten engaged or married because of that site. I have had several relationships with women that I have met on that site, including the relationship I have been in for close to 6 years now with my girlfriend I met on that site in the chat rooms. I am also one of the members that was interviewed by David Kesmodel of WSJ Online in regards to the site when he did an article on March 1, 2006

The AdultFriendFinder site and its network of sites under Various Inc and FriendFinder Inc have been critisized for years by the majority of disgruntle male members expecting that the female members of the site to respond to emails that are sent to them or expecting those female members to go to bed with every male member that emails them.

Many of the emails that the women on that site recieve from male members are highly sexually explicit to being absolutely disgusting; consequently, many of the women do not respond to emails sent to them by male members that they have had no prior interactions with on the site through its forums.

As for the emails that male members recieve that are composed exactly the same or similar by female members profiles, they are usually from scam artist from other countries such as Russia or BOTS that advertise other sites to the male members. That is a common on any and all Personals\dating sites like Match.com, Yahoo Personals and etc...

That is the simple facts in concern to AdultFriendFinder and its affiliate sites of Various Inc and FriendFinder Inc. from a member of their sites for close to 10 years.

AFF--some real, some fake

#18Consumer Suggestion

Wed, October 25, 2006

Dear Ruth:

If you are a flesh-and-blood human female on AFF, I am sure you do get hundreds of emails a week. Women who look like Jabba the Hutt get hundreds of emails a week on AFF. I have met a few "real" women via AFF. I know some are real. The ones I met were flighty and insane, and a heap uglier than their photos would suggest!

Ruth, I don't mean to suggest you are an AFF employee plant, but when I finally did get through to "customer service" on AFF, guess what they advised me to do? That's right. "Rewrite your profile." I did. I'm literate. I'm great at turning a phrase. No approach to the profile made any difference at all.

I'm no Superman, but I'm relatively attractive and in good shape. I posted nice pics. I wasn't one of the millions of fat old dudes who posted nekkid pics of their bloated corpuses.
But Ruth, you see, I am certain there are millions fake female profiles on the site. I have also been solicited by prostitutes on AFF. I have trolled enough Internet pornography to know a pic ganked from the 'Net when I see one. There are thousands upon thousands of these. There should be NO fakes and NO hookers on AFF. If the company had a smidgeon of ethics, the would delete these profiles, but they don't.

Easiest way to deal with these criminals

#18UPDATE EX-employee responds

Tue, November 16, 2004

Sorry Ruth, there are very few women or couples on any of the FriendFinder sites. Most are fake employees deceptively trying to lure consumers into the Friend Finder criminal network.

Easiest way I found to get your money back from the AdultFriendFinder Creeps:

1. Call you credit card company

2. Tell them you never made the charge and do not recognize the site

3. Demand that your credit card company issue a charge back

4. Enjoy seeing your money credited to your account by the next business morning.

It's really that simple and Friend Finder does nothing about it because they know they are criminals.

Have Fun!

Real People on AFF They exist

#18Consumer Comment

Real people DO exist on AFF. I have met them and dated several. There have been more than a few marriages from meeting inthe chat rooms. The basic problem with men thinking there are no real people is most women on that site get hundreds of Emails a week.. I know I get at least that many. I can not answer them all and some I do not wish to becuase fo the content of the emails they send. I have met in person many real people. and have had no problem with scams. If men don't get resonses maybe they need to rewrite their emails.

Thanks
