In the fall of 2011, I purchased a Frigidaire refrigerator in Palm Beach County and I was soon having issues with the freezer icing over. I called Customer Support and was told to call A&E Factory Service for warranty repairs.

A&E came out and adjusted the seal (or replaced, I don't recall) and showed me that the door was cracked. They said that should also be covered as the unit was less than one year old. They shipped me a new handle which I had put on (not by A&E). There were also a series of ludicrous noises that the unit made, but the A&E repairman said these were "NORMAL" for newer refrigerators  (odd, no new refrigerator in Europe has these obscene noises).

They came on Feb. 9, 2012, and on May 9, 2012, A&E sent me a letter that Electrolux Major Appliance refused to cover the iced up freezer in their warranty, OR the cracked handle. I called the 800-374-4432 Customer Service line twice, only to learn that I had to make a long distance call on my dime to actually speak to a human. So I called 706-860-4110 and a girl named "Ebony" answered the phone.

She told me I had no account with them, even though I had filed for service and a bill had been sent to them. She asked for my surname and zip code, and after going round that she didn't want to cover the damage that was inherent to the unit and caused leakage and icing in the freezer part of the unit, I finally asked to speak with a supervisor.

She continued to argue with me and I demanded again to speak with her supervisor. She put me on a long hold (nearly 10 minutes) and came back on and started regurgitating what her supervisor told her to tell me. I could only assume that the supervisor was not interested in speaking with a customer of their products.

I again demanded to speak with the supervisor, and she put me on hold for another 8 minutes or so, then came back on and told me her supervisor "would be with me shortly". We were at 32 minutes on the phone call before "Alicia" the supervisor finally came on the line.

She told me that I had not given Ebony any information (which wasn't true) and she continually interrupted me every time I tried to speak. She was rude and arrogant - hardly the personality of a customer service supervisor. I started to make a comment which I chose not to finish, and she told me "You'd better watch your mouth". I had not said anything bad, so she was again out of line.

She then told me that I had not provided any information, and then started jabbering on and on while I was trying to speak. She finally closed her mouth long enough for me to tell her that an icy refrigerator is NOT cosmetic - it means there's a leak and that is under warranty. She continued to argue with me, and finally took my information and set up an account, just so she could repeat herself (after 40 minutes total phone time) that she "could not help" me and that it was not covered.

What a waste of my time. So I called the corporate HQ in Martinez, GA, and instead of reaching the Corporate offices, was merely shoved back to customer service.
