Complaint Review: FRY'S ELECTRONICS STORE#27 LAS VEGAS NV

I am a 100% Disabled Vetran Service Conected(ie.. Disabled in the service of my country) and live on a fixed income. On January 17th I purchased the envision monitor from the las vegas NV Fry,s store #27 (6845 south las vegas Blvd) for $144.99, the sale included a $70.00 rebate and a $15.00 rebate for a total rebate of $85.00 I filled out and submited the rebate forms as directed by the manager. On the first $70 rebate I recieved a notice from envision at my home address saying they could not honor my rebate because I had not included my home address!

On the second rebate of $15 I recieved a notice from envision that they could not honor my rebate because it was a none qualifying store.I had made photo copys of both rebate forms and rechecked them for accuracy, both forms contained correct address and phone numbers and store information. I attempted to call invision at the number listed on the notice, Impossible!, I called Fry's on 03\04\2003 and spoke with Gladys pickett who reffered me to Jamie Brewster, he had me fax him the Purchase reciept along with copy's of the two rebate forms and the two rejection letters, he later called saying the matter had been resolved and I would soon recieve my rebates as promised.

I again contacted them in june after checking rebate.com and finding the rebate was not listed or being processed, I talked to a leone, I again Faxed them copy's of all documents, In July there was still no listing of the rebate or it's status.I contacted the store manager after a heated disscusion where he told me it was not there problem that the advertized price had not been fufilled, and that I would have to take it up with envision. I threatened to take them to small claims court for false advertizing, he stated join the crowd!

after my disscusion with the store manager It is my oppinion that fry's is quite aware that there rebates are not being honored, and continue to advertize prices that are ultimately false. I am now at a loss as to what to do!
